We are seeking a dynamic and 'multi-talented' individual for a hybrid role as a Flight Attendant / Customer Service Agent based at our Merced, CA (MCE) station. 'No experience' as a flight attendant is required, but a 'strong background in customer service' and a 'team-first' attitude are essential. This is a unique 'entry-level' position where you will perform duties both on the ground and in the air, ensuring a seamless, premium experience for our passengers from check-in to landing. Your New Career – The Role: This is a 'dual-role' position that combines the responsibilities of a ground-based Customer Service Agent (CSA) with those of an in-flight 'Cabin Assistant' (Flight Attendant) on our PC-12 aircraft. This role requires 'excellent communication skills', a 'professional appearance', and the ability to work 'independently' with minimal supervision. You must be ableto work a 'flexible schedule', including 'day shift', 'weekend shift', and 'on-call' periods, as our flight schedules are designed to meet commuter needs. You must be 'based in Merced' or the immediate surrounding area. 'Ground Agent' Duties: * Greet passengers at the Merced Regional Airport terminal with a 'friendly and professional' demeanor. * Perform all aspects of passenger check-in, including verifying reservations, issuing boarding passes, and 'tagging baggage'. * Answer phones, respond to customer inquiries about flight schedules and fares, and make new reservations. * Handle baggage, 'weighing' and ensuring it complies with our aircraft limitations. * Communicate with pilots and ground crew to ensure 'on-time departures'. * Make boarding announcements and escort passengers to the aircraft. 'Cabin Assistant (Flight Attendant)' Duties: * On designated PC-12 flights, you will fly with the aircraft. * Ensure the 'safety and comfort' of all passengers in the cabin. * Provide a 'personalized safety briefing' to passengers before takeoff. * Secure the cabin, including all baggage and carry-on items. * Monitor passengers during the flight for comfort and safety compliance. * Offer 'complimentary in-flight snacks and beverages', providing a premium service. * Assist passengers with 'deplaning' upon arrival. The Training – Your Foundation for Success: We provide 'comprehensive, paid on-the-job training' for all aspects of this hybrid role. 'No experience' is necessary. You will be trained on: * Our airline reservations and check-in system. * 'Ground operations' and ramp safety procedures (though you will not be loading baggage). * 'Aircraft-specific' Cabin Assistant duties for the Pilatus PC-12, including safety briefings, in-flight service, and emergency procedures. * 'FAA compliance' for a 135-commuter operation. A Day in the Life – What to Expect: Your 'day shift' starts at the MCE terminal. You'll prepare the check-in counter for the first departure of the day. You will check in 8 passengers for the flight to LAX, tag their bags, and answer questions. You will then walk the passengers out to the Pilatus, introduce them to the pilot, and perform your 'Cabin Assistant' duties for the flight to LAX and back. Upon returning to MCE, you may help check in the next flight or answer phone calls. This is a 'fast-paced', 'customer-facing' role where you are the 'face of the company' for the entire passenger experience. You are a 'critical part' of our small, dedicated Merced team.
