Join Alaska Airlines, an airline known for its genuine, caring service and #1 ranking in Customer Satisfaction by J.D. Power. We are seeking highly adaptable, reliable, and positive individuals for our Reserve Flight Attendant positions based in Portland, OR (PDX). About Alaska Airlines: At Alaska, we are a family. Our culture is built on the 'Alaska Spirit'—a commitment to 'doing the right thing,' providing genuine care, and creating a sense of belonging. With a team of over 23,000 employees, we are dedicated to our guests, our communities, and each other. Your Role as a Reserve Flight Attendant: This is a critical 'on-call support' role that keeps our airline running. You are the backbone of our operation, ready to fly at a moment's notice to cover trips for fellow crewmembers. This 'entry level' position requires immense flexibility, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in an unpredictable environment. 'No experience' in flying is required; we provide industry-leading paid training. Your Day-to-Day: As a Reserve, you will be on-call for a block of days. This means you could be called for a 6 AM 'day shift' trip to Hawaii or a 10 PM 'night shift' red-eye to the East Coast. You must be available for all 'weekend' assignments and holidays. Your primary responsibility is safety, followed by providing our signature caring service and 'passenger assistance'. This role is perfect for someone who loves adventure and hates routine. Training & Onboarding: Successful candidates will attend our 6-week, comprehensive paid training program in Seattle, WA. You will learn all aspects of safety, 'service recovery,' and 'team collaboration' to become a confident and qualified Flight Attendant. Career & Compensation: Alaska offers a top-tier wage, with an estimated annual base for Reserves between $42,000 and $68,000 (with a reserve pay guarantee). We offer a generous benefits package, including an annual 'Longevity Bonus,' a 401(k) with company match, and outstanding travel privileges on Alaska and our oneworld Alliance partners.
