Join Qantas, the flag carrier of Australia and a founding member of the Oneworld alliance. We are seeking resilient and customer-focused Cabin Crew to join our US base in Los Angeles (LAX). Our airline operates a world-class fleet, including the Airbus A380 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner, specializing in ultra-long-haul (ULH) routes that connect the US to Australia. This role is a unique opportunity to become an expert in long-haul service and safety.
Core Responsibilities:
Your first and highest priority is the safety and security of all customers and crew, adhering to our world-leading safety standards. You will perform pre-flight checks, conduct safety demonstrations, and be prepared to manage all in-flight emergencies with professionalism. You will also deliver our signature warm, Australian-style hospitality, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment on our long-haul services.
Qualifications & Requirements:
We are looking for team players with a strong service ethic. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have the legal right to work in the United States. A valid passport for unrestricted international travel is essential. A High School Diploma or GED is required. You must be able to meet an arm reach requirement of 212cm (on tiptoes) and have no visible tattoos that cannot be concealed by our uniform. You must be fluent in English. Candidates must be ableto pass an intensive 12-week paid training program in Sydney, Australia.
Training & Work Schedule:
Successful candidates will be flown to Australia to attend our comprehensive paid training at the Qantas Cabin Crew Training Centre in Sydney (transport and accommodation provided). This role demands flexibility for a variable roster, including nights, weekends, holidays, and ultra-long-haul flights with extended layovers.
Compensation & Benefits:
Qantas offers a competitive salary package, with an estimated annual base from $40,000 to $60,000, supplemented by hourly flight pay and generous per diem allowances.
