About GoJet Airlines: GoJet Airlines is a premier regional airline operating as a key partner for United Express. We are unique in the aviation industry as the exclusive operator of the revolutionary CRJ-550 aircraft—the world's only 50-seat, two-cabin regional jet, featuring a true First Class cabin, premium economy, and a self-serve beverage and snack station. This aircraft redefines passenger comfort in the regional market. Our mission is to provide a safe, reliable, and premium travel experience that mirrors the high standards of our mainline partner. We are seeking professional, poised, and service-oriented individuals to join our team as Entry-Level Flight Attendants, based in our Chicago (ORD) hub. This is a career where 'no experience' in aviation is necessary; we provide a comprehensive, paid training program to transform you into a confident, FAA-certified safety and service professional, specializing in a first-class product. Your New Career – The Role: As a GoJet Airlines Flight Attendant, you are a crucial brand ambassador for United Express and the sole safety and service professional in the cabin of our unique CRJ-550. This is a role of immense responsibility and independence. Your primary duty is to ensure the safety and well-being of every passenger, adhering to all FAA regulations. However, this role is equally focused on service excellence. You will be delivering a premium, dual-cabin experience, including serving our First Class passengers. This requires a unique blend of authority and grace, confidence and hospitality. You must be adaptable, resilient, and able to manage a flexible 24/7 schedule, which will include 'day shift' departures, 'night shift' arrivals, 'weekend shift' duties, and holidays. The Training – Your Foundation for Success: Your career begins with our intensive, multi-week, paid training program, held at our state-of-the-art training center in St. Louis, Missouri. This program is designed to take you from 'no experience' to a fully-certified FAA safety professional, with a specialization in our premium aircraft. The curriculum is challenging and includes: * **Aircraft Systems & Safety Equipment:** You will gain an expert-level understanding of the CRJ-550, including its doors, emergency exits, interphone systems, and all onboard safety equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, PBEs, AEDs, life vests). * **Emergency Procedures:** You will be rigorously trained in hands-on, realistic simulations for all potential emergencies, including evacuations (land and water), in-flight fires, depressurization, and medical incidents. * **First Aid & Medical Response:** You will be certified in CPR, AED, and advanced first aid, preparing you to handle passenger medical events with confidence. * **Premium Service Excellence:** Unlike other regional training, our program has a heavy emphasis on delivering a true First Class service. You will learn premium cabin service standards, beverage and snack presentation, and how to manage the unique self-serve refreshment center. * **Conflict Resolution & Passenger Care:** You will learn to manage difficult passenger interactions and de-escalate conflict while maintaining a professional, service-oriented demeanor. * **FAA Regulations:** You will learn and be tested on the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) that govern your role. Successful completion of this training, including passing all exams and practical drills, is a mandatory requirement to earn your wings. A Day in the Life – What to Expect: Your 'workday' is dynamic and customer-facing. It begins long before the first passenger boards: * **Pre-Flight:** You'll arrive at the ORD crew room for your 'day shift' check-in, 1-2 hours before departure. You'll join your flight crew (Captain and First Officer) for a detailed briefing covering flight plans, weather, passenger manifests (noting First Class passengers and any special needs), and any safety considerations. You will then board the aircraft to conduct your pre-flight safety checks, meticulously inspecting all emergency equipment, verifying catering for both cabins, and ensuring the First Class cabin and self-serve station are stocked and prepared to standard. * **Boarding:** You'll greet passengers with a warm, professional presence, assisting them with carry-on baggage (storing items in the unique CRJ-550 closets), seating, and answering questions. You will offer pre-departure beverages to First Class passengers, manage the boarding process efficiently, and ensure all safety tasks are completed before the door closes. * **In-Flight:** Once airborne, your primary role remains safety. You'll conduct compliance checks, monitor the cabin, and be ready to respond to any call light or irregularity. You will then perform your inflight service, delivering a premium beverage and snack service to the First Class cabin and a courteous service to Economy Plus passengers. You are a problem-solver, a first responder, and a premium service agent, all at 30,000 feet. * **Post-Flight:** Upon landing, you'll manage a safe and orderly deplaning process. You'll then conduct a final cabin sweep for lost items and security checks. Your day may consist of multiple flights and end with a 'night shift' arrival, either back at your home base or in an overnight city (layover), where you check into a company-provided hotel to rest for the next day's duty. The Lifestyle – Schedule & Flexibility: This is not a 9-to-5 job. Your schedule is built on seniority and requires 24/7 availability. As a new 'entry-level' Flight Attendant, you will start on 'reserve.' This means you are on-call, ready to be assigned a trip at a moment's notice. You must be able to report to the airport base (domicile) quickly. Your schedule will include 'day shift,' 'night shift,' 'weekend shift,' and holiday assignments. While this demands flexibility, it also offers it—you may work a 4-day trip and then have 3 days off. This lifestyle is perfect for those who thrive on variety and are not suited for a desk job. Why GoJet? We offer a career unlike any other in the regional industry, flying a unique, premium aircraft. We provide a clear career path, competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and excellent travel privileges on the United Airlines global network. If you are a disciplined, resilient, and positive person with a deep commitment to safety and a passion for premium service, we invite you to apply and start your career with us.
