Start Your Ascent with Envoy Air, a Wholly-Owned Subsidiary of American Airlines Group. Envoy Air, operating as American Eagle, is a vital component of the American Airlines global network. We are one of the largest regional airlines in the world, operating a modern fleet of Embraer E-170/175 aircraft. Our mission is to provide a safe, reliable, and friendly travel experience for the millions of passengers we serve, connecting them to American's extensive domestic and international routes. We are seeking professional, caring, and dynamic individuals for our 'entry-level' Flight Attendant position based at our largest hub, Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW). This role requires 'no experience' in aviation, but demands a strong background in customer service and an unwavering commitment to safety. Your New Career – The Role: As an Envoy Air Flight Attendant, you are a safety professional first and a customer service expert second. You are the face of American Eagle in the cabin, responsible for the well-being and comfort of every passenger. This is a fast-paced, 24/7/365 operation. You will be challenged to think on your feet, enforce FAA safety regulations with authority and tact, and provide gracious service that reflects the standards of American Airlines. This career requires a high degree of flexibility, as your schedule will include 'day shift' check-ins before sunrise, 'night shift' (red-eye) flights, and 'weekend shift' assignments. This is your opportunity to join a respected company and build a long-term career in aviation. The Training – Building a Safety Professional: Your career begins with our intensive, paid training program in Dallas, Texas. This program is challenging and designed to ensure you are 100% prepared for any situation you may encounter in flight. Our expert instructors will guide you through a comprehensive curriculum, including: * **Aircraft Specifics & Systems:** You will master the Embraer E-170/175, learning the operation of all doors, exits, communication systems, and cabin controls. * **Emergency Procedures & Evacuation:** This is the core of your training. You will participate in realistic, hands-on drills for land and water evacuations, in-flight fires, smoke-filled cabins, and rapid depressurization scenarios using advanced cabin simulators. * **First Aid & Medical Response:** You will be certified in CPR, AED usage, and in-flight first aid, preparing you to act as a first responder at 35,000 feet. * **Customer Service & Conflict Resolution:** You will learn the Envoy and American Airlines service standards, how to handle difficult passenger situations, de-escalate conflict, and provide exceptional service to all customers, including those in First Class. * **FAA Regulations & Compliance:** You will study and be tested on the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) that govern your role. You must pass all written and practical exams to graduate and earn your FAA certification. A Day in the Life – What to Expect: No two days are ever the same. A typical duty day involves: * **Pre-Flight:** Arriving at the DFW crew room for your check-in, which could be for an early 'day shift' or a late 'night shift.' You'll attend a crew briefing with the Captain, First Officer, and your fellow Flight Attendants to discuss flight details, weather, security, and passenger information. You'll then proceed to the aircraft to perform detailed pre-flight checks, verifying all safety and emergency equipment is present and functional, checking catering, and ensuring the cabin is ready for passengers. * **Boarding:** As passengers board, you will greet them warmly, assist with finding seats, and manage the stowage of carry-on baggage. This is a critical time to monitor the cabin for any safety or security concerns and ensure all passengers are compliant with regulations before the cabin door is closed. * **In-Flight:** You will conduct the safety demonstration and perform compliance checks. Once airborne, you will work with your crew to deliver the American Eagle inflight service, including beverages and snacks. Your primary duty remains vigilance; you are constantly monitoring the cabin, answering call lights, and being prepared to act in any situation, from a minor service request to a major medical or security emergency. * **Post-Flight & Layovers:** Upon arrival, you will manage a safe and orderly deplaning, check the cabin for lost items, and perform security checks. Your day may involve flying several segments. If your duty day ends in a city other than DFW, you will be on a 'layover.' You'll take crew transportation to a company-provided hotel to get your required rest before your next duty day. The Lifestyle & Career Path: This is not a traditional office job. As a new 'entry-level' Flight Attendant, you will be on 'reserve' status. This means you are on-call, and your schedule will be assigned, often with little notice. You must be available 24/7, including 'weekend shift' assignments, holidays, and overnight (red-eye) flights. Schedules are bid for and awarded based on seniority, so you will gain more schedule flexibility over time. The benefits are outstanding, including comprehensive health insurance, a 401(k), and unparalleled travel privileges on American Airlines' global network. Envoy also offers a flow-through agreement, providing a direct and guaranteed career path to a pilot position at American Airlines, and our Flight Attendants have a clear path for advancement to Purser, trainer, or management roles. Why Envoy? Envoy is a cornerstone of the American Airlines network. We offer stability, top-tier training, and the best career progression opportunities in the regional industry. If you are a dependable, resilient, and service-oriented individual who meets our high standards, we invite you to apply for a career that can take you around the world.
